What can I say, this trip was transformative…
One of my best friends and soul sister, Rony Ghoraishy, leads a yoga retreat every year at Anamaya Resort in Costa Rica. It didn’t take much convincing for me to jump on board and sign up for the retreat - because the way that Rony talks about Costa Rica is inspiring.
I didn’t understand the magic behind it all until we arrived and I let the peace and pace of their lifestyle really sink in. I truly experienced what bliss + relaxation means and I have taken these learnings home with me. This was a trip of a lifetime, and I cannot wait to visit again.
Food in Montezuma:
Cafe Organico - order the plantain crisps with the trio dip and ginger mint lemonade
Ice Dream - such delicious ice cream, really hits the spot! I had the chocolate + vanilla
After the retreat, we went to a small surf town called Nosara. Also known for having some of the most incredible yoga + fitness studios. One word to describe Nosara? MAGICAL.
Accommodation in Nosara:
The Gilded Iguana - one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever been to. Conveniently close to the beach and walking distance to everything you need + want
Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort - took a yoga class here and absolutely fell in love with it. They also have Pilates and spin classes, which were raved about by many. Their accommodating grounds looked incredible also
Food in Nosara:
La Luna - I mean the views at sunset are breathtaking AND the food is amazing
Burgers and Beers - You guessed it, really good burgers. Some of the best I’ve had
Rancho Tico - authentic and local spot
Restaurant at Bodhi Tree - wow, just, wow
Go Juice - cute little juice stand, right across the street from where we stayed at The Gilded Iguana
